Animals - Monkey

Shit is bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!
(stuck in your head now, right?)
Kinda reminds me of the crazy monkey's on Jumanji, yea?
Lol. They didn't turn out cute and cuddly. And my fimo's were being total bitches and not doing what I wanted.
So after throwing every 4-letter word at my nail art last night, I was so frustrated that I skipped out on taking pictures and uploading them last night. So I'll present them today!

I also skipped on explaining all the polishes I used :-s

Gosh why is it that you don't notice issues until you see the pics? So please excuse the scratch on my middle finger. The joys of a playful kitten :-)

And to further get the song stuck in your head...

Day 24 - Inspired By A Book

It's been years since I've read this book but when I saw this challenge, I knew this was the book I wanted (out of the dozens I've read within the past year even!).
My book is Intensity by Dean Koontz.
Awesome thriller book. I tried to replicate the cover art as best as I could.
The spider and web are pertinent to the book because there is a scene where the killer eats a spider which helps him understand how the spider feels etc etc. Again, been a long time since I've read it. Guess I'll have to jump back in it!

The final result:

The products I used:
*2 coats French Tip Dip Bright White for bright base
*2 coats Sinful Colors Dumpling (I cringe whenever I read this name)
*2 coats China Glaze Breakin' for accent nail and stripe stamps
*Wet N' Wild Black Cream for spider and web stamps
*Bundle Monster stamps BM 13 & 20

Before the art:

After the art:

My copy of the book's orange is actually a bright neon orange but many copies I've seen are the darker orange like on my accent nail. My neon orange didn't look good so I went with the darker...

Day 20 - Water Marbled

Well I was dreading this mani and now I know why. 3 1/2 hours later and I HATE the results!
I had to redo so many times and test and I just couldn't find a good combination of colors and blah blah.
(and this is the GOOD hand. My right hand just looks like a jumbled mess!)

I came across this on Emerald Sparkled's blog and thought, "OMG, that was so me the night I did this manicure!" I watched youtube videos like crazy and they seem SO easy for everyone else. Well this is me...

So enough complaining, here is my final result.

The final result:

The products I used:
*Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar and This Is It
*China Glaze Gussied Up Green
*Finished with a coat of Sinful Colors All About Me

More pictures:

I swear my phone has a mind of its own. Even after flipping it right side up in my phone and it appearing normal on my computer, it still flips sideways here! RAWR!

Day 3 - Yellow Nails

Yellow is not my most  favorite color. But I did have a super cute design in mind for this challenge.
Bummer part is that I'm a horrible steady-hand so my lines are awful.
Hopefully tomorrows will be better :-)
Here is my tribute to Bumble Bee (Transformers of course, because the Camero is
such a sexy car!)

*2 coats French Tip Dip bright white (to help the yellow pop)
*2 coats NYC taxi yellow cream
*Sinful Colors black on black for stripes

Really, could this car be any more awesome?? Of course it could!
If I was behind the wheel!!! :-)

Angry Birds!

Was feeling a little angry hehehe.
Another 2 hour polish job that isn't too bad for me being awful at art :-)
I had bought a nail art brush set including a dotting tool last night so I had fun testing them all out.
Not too shabby for being freehand, I must say.

*CG breakin' for all beaks
*French Tip Dip bright white for all eyes
*Wet N' Wild black for brows and stripes

From pinky to thumb:
*CG carribean blue base
*FTD bright white under NYC taxi yellow for base
*Sinful Colors black on black base
*Avon grey cement matte for belly and eye base
*CG breaking and Sally X grey area mixed for brows
*Petites rockin red for base
*Pure Ice free spirit for base
*Sally Hansen green with envy for nose

Give Me Something Good To Eat

My attempt at candy corn nails!
*1 coat French Tip Dip bright white
*3 coat NYC taxi yellow cream (very splotchy)
*1 strip China Glaze breakin' for the tip
*1 strip Kiss nail art paint in white
This was my first time using nail art paint brushes and it was hard to keep a steady hand.
