Day 14 - Flowers

Day 14 - Flowers
Decided on French Tips to go with this again.
Not my most perfect french tip because my white in my jar was tacky
but hey, its snowing here so I was in a hurry!

The final result:

The products I used:
*1 coat Nubar 2010
*Stripes and dots in French Tip Dip Bright White
*Black and silver accents in Kiss Nail Art Paint

Day 11- Polka Dots

My hair color is the reason for this post.
Yes, I skipped Gradient Day 10 and went right to Polka Dots Day 11.
Only by accident because I didn't double check the plan!
So today is Polka Dots, TOMORROW is Gradient :-)
Hey, I gotta stand out from the crowd somehow, right?

I had fun doing this mani and it was pretty easy.
I have become a fan of Matte polish and black matte is just to die for! I really wish I had remembered to snap a pic of just the matte black but again, spacey moment.

Here's the polishes I used with Avon's Matte Black as my base and Wet N' Wild's black creme as the smaller polka dots. I like the black matte vs. shiny together. Makes a wonderful duo!

Flash and no flash with dots and accent nail added before black dots

And the final result of totally awesome polka dot nails!

I'm curious to see how this mani does with no top coat.
I decided to opt out on polka dotting a top coat too.
I tried it on a pinky and it bled onto the matte so I skipped the rest as matte is supposed to be matte!

Day 5 - Blue Nails

Time for a simpler manicure as I'm a tad pooped from 2 hour mani's for the past 4 days.
Today we have a glitter base with crackle tip.
I'm a tad bummed about my crackle polish here as it was super clumpy inside the bottle and I've only used it once. So in an attempt to remove clumps on my nails, i ended up covering come cracks already made.
Still turned out cute!

*2 coats Nubar night sparkle
*1 strip OPI silver shatter

This blue reminds me of hot rod paint jobs. It has that perfect sparkle. A top coat or 2 is a MUST with it as it looks kinda silly without one (see pics below).

Day 4 - Green Nails

Day 4 already! Whew!
Me and holo time, here is my day 4 - green with a twist :-)

gonna be on for one day!

Miche Dots

My Miche purse shell has motivated me!
It took me about an hour ad a half to dot each dot but I got it done!

*2 coats French Tip Dip bright white for base
* dots are Wet N' Wild black, Sally Hansen Xtreme wear deep purple, China Glaze caribbean blue and Nubar reclaim

I used my dotting tool and a paint tray with drips of paint and did each row individually. A few minor blotches and my black kept drying on the tray but its still cute!

Don't know what a Miche bag is? You're missing out!
These are only the most amazing purses out there! Multiple sizes and tons of shells
that you can interchange! Change your purse shell as much as you change your nail color!
Check them out here!

*Stitching is Kiss white art paint
*Accent nail is China Glaze starting with base of midnight mission, then blue island ice tea in the middle and finishing the tip with Nubar reclaim.

Reclaim Christmas!

So after 4 days, I finally got the tiniest of tiny chip in my Nubar Reclaim polish. I'm so in love with it that I decided to just touch it up. I added red tips! Nothing special, just a petites red that I got from riteaid. No guides, no Konad for these tips. All by hand and you can really tell because my lines suck!
But I did add a holly on each thumb, complete with red berries (with the help of a toothpick :-p)

Flash

No flash

So minus the horrible edged tips, I give this mani a 5 too!
Who wouldn't be happy with a 5 minute touch-up on a super cute polish!
Not to mention that the wear of the Reclaim was just outstanding!

It's Time To Reclaim

My wonderful friend Jessica found this for sale on another blog for me. I got it for a great deal.
It's Nubar Reclaim. A minty green holographic polish. It applied amazingly with just one coat!
I have to say that my lines came out very clean. I had very little clean up to do afterward.
I'm so impressed with this polish and can't wait to do more creative things with it!
I'm not a huge fan of greens, as I prefer much darker colors on my hands but I can't keep my eyes off my nails! I think they're just gorgrous!

I'm so impressed that I give this polish a 5 out of 5! Go Nubar Reclaim!

Sexy on First Class

I decided against a stamp tonight. I ended up chosing China Glaze First Class Ticket with a ymmy Nubar 2010 coat over the top. CG x2 coats, 2010 x1 coat. It applied nicely too!

Inside with flash.

Natural light with flash.

Natural light no flash.

A rating of 4 out of 5 is due here. Again, first layer was uneven. But the ending color is such a dark purple it almost looks black in certain lights. Thats a super plus in my book. A bi-polar polish!
