Feeling A Little Retro

I'm not sure why but this manicure has me feeling like I just stepped out of an old-school New Kids On the Block concert...had an inspiration photo stashed away and decided to give it a go.

Loving it!

Used ORLY Dazzle, Sinful Colors Cream Pink and Kiss nail art paint in black.

I just love the coverage of this ORLY. It kicks butt. Sadly, I did my nails last night before bed and already at noon today, I've chipped a nail (the paint not the nail itself, luckily!). My nail art has been taking such a beating lately! I'm lucky if I can squeeze a full 24 hours out of it before it chips. I think my SV TC is failing me!

Tips - Navy Sparkle

Another inspiration found on Pinterest
Not an exact replica, then again, I try not to go exact.
No one can ever compare to the original creator.
But I think they turned out super cute!
Created with French Tip Dip.
The blue I used is Color Club Cold Metal. China Glaze Fairy Dust over it.
Flower is acrylic in yellow and white.

Taped - Triangle Bows

This came out extremely icky but I loved the colors.
For some reason, I was just having major tape issues this round.
Oh well!

Purple is a Petites and Pink is a Color Club metallic.
Wish I could remember but the polish is lost back in my Helmer :-p

Tips - Funky Cheetah

Like everyone else, I've been yet again, inspired by Pinterest! If you haven't followed me, please do so with the Pin box to the right ----->

But when I came across this mani, I fell in love. The colors are so unique together. So I had to try it! I think its the most complimented-on manicure I've had so far!

The orange is some non-named bright orange by Color Club done with my awesome French Tip Dip.
Blue is ORLY Snowcone (totally diggin' this color)
Then a small art brush with W & W black for the cheetah marks.

Tips - Pinkle Sparkle (not quite glitter)

Because I already had a Pinkle Glitter manicure, I didn't know what to name this one so I went with Pinkle Sparkle. More sparkly than glittery. Inspired by Chloe (still one of my favorite manicurists).
I didn't have a shade quite as awesome as hers (odd being that I could walk up to the store and grab that SH now) but I figured with how many polishes I already have, just use one close (as I LOVED her color combo).

So I went with Color Club OH MY GOSH ITS NAMELESS!
(yup, so nameless. If you  know the name, please let me know!)
Then added OPI Sparkl-icious (see, the title even says sparkle)
Then went with a tip of the same nameless Color Club with my French Tip Dip.

Valentine's Scrabble

Saw this on Pinterest and just had to try.
After deciding that I had to jazz it up then failing at every attempt to make my background color look like wood grain, I ended up again with just the plain simple background. My freehand it poor but I can still tell they're scrabble letters :-)
It was fun anyway!

Crooked Heart Triple Tips

Wow that title is a mouthful!
Here is another Valentine's Day manicure.
I'm loving these because I love hearts.
I suck at drawing or painting them though, I just don't have a steady hand.

I also entered this manicure in Sun-Dried Lacquers Blog Contest, check it out!

Purple, purple and more purple + Tutorial

Yea, its purple manicure time. I did these 2 nights ago and they're still chip free. Hence why I didnt post a new mani last night. Check out these purdy mamas with tutorial to follow.

For this manicure, grab a light base color.

Then add a sparkly tip in a darker but same color glitter.
I chose Color Club Tru Passion.

Then with an even darker shade in the same color, draw a stripe across the bottom of your glitter edge.
I chose Love & Beauty Dark Purple.

Then with that same darkest color, draw 45 degree angled stripes. I did 2 on each finger except for my middle finger as that is the accent nail.

Then take a silver glitter and go between your dark stripes. I also added a stripe below the purple one on the accent nail.
Here i chose Kiss nail art paint in silver.

Then I added a light purple fimo bow on the accent nail along with a clear rhinestone on its center.
Then a light purple and clear rhinestone on every other nail.
Chose two color rhinestones that match what colors you chose.

Top coat and you're done!

Doesn't this look like it belongs in a glue on box in the stores? I LOVE it!

Girly Bones

Yet another inspired manicure.
I almost passed on doing my nails last night as I was emotionally wore out from dealing with our neighbor getting into a quad accident. He is fight for his life right now and he's only 28 years old. Prayers for this young guy please everyone!

So I ended up with this manicure, nothing to do with the accident, just a mani I saw Professional IDQ's Bad Ass Funky Skulls. It was so cute! Im actually totally loving her channel!

I added red rhinestones to the bog skull bones. This red is acrylic paint and it took like 4 coats to get it this red! I think my red has issues because it just doesnt have coverage like I expect acrylic paint to have. The white did just fine though. Go figure :-) I used Color Club Revvvoloution for the background swirls.

And the base color before the art. Super pretty! (although it would kick ass with a top coat)
Black base with micro red glitter, 3 coats for total even coverage.

Animals - Hooters :-)

Ok get your mind out of the gutter! It's just owls!

I'm really liking this color combo and polka dots going on...

Kinda dark but I used Color Club New Bohemian, SH Whirlwind White, OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys and Decades of Shades, CG Fairy Dust and OPI Who Needs A Prince? Plus, of course, a dotting tool :-)
