Day 28 - Inspired By A Flag

Happy December 1st!!
I thought this manicure would be easy. I decided to go with the Italian flag to support my roots!
It started out red base with white tips...looking like a candy cane.
The I added a green tip over the white tips....now looking like Christmas.
Then I added some black accent dots...finally looking like a watermelon!
Ug, really! Nothing ever looks the way I expect.
So here are my Italian Flag Candy Cane Christmas Watermelon nails! YAY!

The finished product:

The products I used:
*2 coats NYC Madison Ave
*Wet N' Wild Fast Dry SeGreena the Teenage Witch tips
*Wet N' Wild Black cream dots

Have you seen my review for French Tip Dip yet?
If not, check it out here.
An amazingly fast way to do french tips.
No more free hand, no more sticky tape and surely no more pricey nail-killer acrylics.
Check out all the awesome quality products here, French Tip Dip.
You can get the whole kit to last you over a year worth of french tips too!

Day 3 - Yellow Nails

Yellow is not my most  favorite color. But I did have a super cute design in mind for this challenge.
Bummer part is that I'm a horrible steady-hand so my lines are awful.
Hopefully tomorrows will be better :-)
Here is my tribute to Bumble Bee (Transformers of course, because the Camero is
such a sexy car!)

*2 coats French Tip Dip bright white (to help the yellow pop)
*2 coats NYC taxi yellow cream
*Sinful Colors black on black for stripes

No flash

Really, could this car be any more awesome?? Of course it could!
If I was behind the wheel!!! :-)

Day 2 - Orange Nails

Day 2 of the challenge and I caught myself thinking all day of what design I would do.
Now I know most gals are doing solid colors for this part of the challenge but I'm not most girls.
I find myself getting bored with plain colored nails.
Mine need spice! So here's my day 2 : Flamage!
*2 coats French Tip Dip miami sunrise (south beach collection)
*1 strip NYC times square tangerine cream #112
*1 strip Avon Matte red velvet (tips and flames)

I should have snagged a pic before I put the top coat on because the Avon Matte looked amazing!
Still a kick-butt mani though!

Design with no flash

I watched this tutorial, by Robin Moses, as a guide. Mine is no where near as amazing as hers but that's because I'm not a pro!

Angry Birds!

Was feeling a little angry hehehe.
Another 2 hour polish job that isn't too bad for me being awful at art :-)
I had bought a nail art brush set including a dotting tool last night so I had fun testing them all out.
Not too shabby for being freehand, I must say.

*CG breakin' for all beaks
*French Tip Dip bright white for all eyes
*Wet N' Wild black for brows and stripes

From pinky to thumb:
*CG carribean blue base
*FTD bright white under NYC taxi yellow for base
*Sinful Colors black on black base
*Avon grey cement matte for belly and eye base
*CG breaking and Sally X grey area mixed for brows
*Petites rockin red for base
*Pure Ice free spirit for base
*Sally Hansen green with envy for nose

Give Me Something Good To Eat

My attempt at candy corn nails!
*1 coat French Tip Dip bright white
*3 coat NYC taxi yellow cream (very splotchy)
*1 strip China Glaze breakin' for the tip
*1 strip Kiss nail art paint in white
This was my first time using nail art paint brushes and it was hard to keep a steady hand.
