Tips - Neon Glitter

Inspired by a manicure I saw on Pinterest. Although that one was acrylic so it looked perfect.
Mine came out too thick because of all the layers of glitter I applied to try and get the same affect. Needless to say, I only wore this manicure half a day because the thickness bugged me so bad. But It was a cute idea at least.

Soccer Nails!

My totally awesome lil' 1st grader had his first soccer game of the season yesterday so to celebrate with him, I sported soccer nails. He thought they were so cool (even though I was looking at a soccer ball picture to make sure I got the pattern correct, it still wasn't right...only me!)

Yea yea so they don't keep score, but I did! They rocked the other team 3-1 :-)

So starting off with the main nails, I used French Tip Dip bright white base, then used the Kiss nail art paint black striper. Finished off with Wet N Wild black tips using my French Tip Dip tool.

Accent nail is a base of Sinful Colors Envy with Avon Sweet Mint sponged over it. Then I took Bundle Monster plate BM-209 and stamped with Wet N Wild white across the tip in a diagonal line to be the goal net. Kiss nail art paint striper in white was used across the open edge of it to act as the net bar. Acrylic paint was used for the soccer ball.

Cherry Hearts

Wow delay in posting again! Here come a few more :-)
First up is cherry hearts. I did a bright red base the sponged some dark vamp red on the tips and focused a tiny tiny bit more on the very tip for a little more accent. Loved the way it turned out. Then hand painted acrylic cherry hearts! And can't forget the accent nail with the same red base then some black Avon crackle over the top.

Loving Snoopy

In honor of my first Art Contest, I decided to get started on my whole list of Valentine manicures.
I've had this snoopy one on my mind for a while and thought this would be perfect to kick the contest off.
I'm not artist by any means but Snoopy turned out pretty cute I must say.

Although, on my left hand (using my dominant right to so the art - duh), Snoopy kind of looks like he has down syndrome or something. Or maybe baby Snoopy? Either way, totally cute for me lacking major skills!

I've also realized that my nails really do have a deep C curve to them because  I had to take two pictures of two angles just so you could actually see both sides of snoopy's face :-s

I started off with SH Whirlwind White, then sponged on Avon Spendid Blue (super gorgeous!)
Then all acrylics after that, which you can see my strokes.

And yes, I did a different pose on my right hand.
Thats right! I managed to get a picture of my right hand (after about 15 snaps!)

Holo Glitter Purple Batman!

So I've heard all this talk about Forever 21 and how awesome their polish is. Silly secluded me was thinking it was no where near me. Come to find out, the mall 30 minutes away has the store! Disappointed to say they lack desperately in the in-stock polish. I did manage to score about 7 polished for under $20 though. Including this super awesome purple which they have sadly named Dark Purple. Really? A color this awesome and you give it a blah name like that?! Sheesh. I shall call you Da Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Batman Purple! :-p And you will be mine.

So without further delay, I give you Da Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Batman Purple (aka Dark Purple *yawn*)

The products I used:
*2 coats Love & Beauty Dark Purple *yawn again* (aka Da Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Batman Purple)
*Wet N' Wild white for accent nail
*Wet N' Wild black for sponged tips
*Wet N' Wild clear with flex holo on accent and tips
*Bundle Monster purple rhinestones
*Off brand purple rhinestones

Before the sponging:
Almost looks blue, but I promise, its purple purple purple :-)
Wowzer, how awesome is this color! And the camera isn't even picking up the best of it!
Yay! sideways pic! NOT *kicks stupid camera phone*

(this is the WW flex holo I made, over white)

More droolific pictures *grabs tissue*
I love how the light catches the glitter on both the holo tips and the purple!
 *swoons*

Damn sideways pic almost ruined my happy dance mood >.<

 *more dooling*
*wipes mouth*

*almost faints but recovers so I can continue drooling*

And this polish was only $2.80! Talk about a good deal!
