Feeling A Little Retro

I'm not sure why but this manicure has me feeling like I just stepped out of an old-school New Kids On the Block concert...had an inspiration photo stashed away and decided to give it a go.

Loving it!

Used ORLY Dazzle, Sinful Colors Cream Pink and Kiss nail art paint in black.

I just love the coverage of this ORLY. It kicks butt. Sadly, I did my nails last night before bed and already at noon today, I've chipped a nail (the paint not the nail itself, luckily!). My nail art has been taking such a beating lately! I'm lucky if I can squeeze a full 24 hours out of it before it chips. I think my SV TC is failing me!

Taped - Triangle Bows

This came out extremely icky but I loved the colors.
For some reason, I was just having major tape issues this round.
Oh well!

Purple is a Petites and Pink is a Color Club metallic.
Wish I could remember but the polish is lost back in my Helmer :-p

Petite Pink Mattified

Saw this manicure and had to try it.
BUT after I added the silver tape, the ends just didn't want to stay put. So my solution? Top coat it! Well that made them stick up even more! Ug! Frustration forced me to wipe that accent nail completely clean and just go for a silver striper brush :-) Problem solved!

I'm so swooning over the matte though. And I'm not really a pink kind gal!

Avon Springtime Tips

Well after I saw the new Avon Spring colors I had to buy them.
I opted out of the pink as I have lots of pinks already and don't wear those often.
(Right, like I dont have enough of every color!)

So after applying them, I decided that darker tips on them would look cool.
So I sifted through my stash and pick some darker shades and this is what we have.

Pink Heart Tips

Yay for more tips! And hearts!
My only wish here was wanting longer nails for this one.
Longer tips would mean more hearts and you can't ever have too many hearts :-)

I love how the pink has the perfect glitter to it. All black hearts are hand painted with black acrylic.
Accent hearts are from a random nail art wheel from ebay.

Crooked Heart Triple Tips

Wow that title is a mouthful!
Here is another Valentine's Day manicure.
I'm loving these because I love hearts.
I suck at drawing or painting them though, I just don't have a steady hand.

I also entered this manicure in Sun-Dried Lacquers Blog Contest, check it out!

Foils - RM Inspired Tips

Once I saw this post by Robin Moses, I knew I had to try it.
I instantly went onto dollarnailart and bought a bunch.
The haul came in yesterday and OMG = heaven!
 (haul post coming soon).

These foils are just amazing. I wish I had bought more.

Anyway, I started with Finger Paints Asylum just to give my stained nail some bling lol.
Then I randomly and not perfectly on purpose, painted a black tip. Letting that dry, I randomly swipped the foil glue and let that dry about 2 minutes then added 3 different foil colors in Blue Fuchsia and purple. I also added black dots for a pretty accent.

Seriously, you must check out this site! Too bad my camera isnt better to catch the awesomeness of these colors!

Tips - Glitter Pinkle

A day behind, dang it! I was busy sorting through nail polish to get my sale going. Phew!
You'll be seeing a post soon about my sale/swap, so keep your eyes peeled! LOTS of goodies!
Even kitty helped :-)

Now onto the tips. I have a whole file folder full of styles I want to try but the past few nights I've been so busy that I've needed to find more simpler ones so I'm not up so late. I still didn't get last nights mani posted then or today. So this is last nights. Tonight mani you'll get tomorrow.

Now how awesome is my Pinkle name! Best describes this color!
Wet N Wild baby!

Mustn't forget the hand painted flowers with teal rhinestones :-)

Tips - Scrangie Inspired

After an hour attempt at a fishnet fabric theme, i pulled it all off and gave up on fabrics for now.
I think I'll do some tips :-)
I have a whole file folder full of inspiration. Out of all of them, Scrangies fit my mood tonight. Plus it was super simple! Took me about 30 minutes to hunt down her link to this *phew*

Animals - Piggy In Pink

Day 2 in my animal week of manicures. I did pigs! All my light pinks were so translucent that the two shades I chose were so close its hard to see the detail.

My inspiration came again, from Simply Rins.
She has some amazing art work!

I was given a HUGE tub of about 75 polishes from my aunt on Christmas Eve, mostly OPI. I've found some pretty gorgeous ones. Tonight's brown came from the collection.

Went for 2 accent nails tonight, stray from my usual

Hand dotted white dots
