Frosty the Snowman

Another holiday manicure :-)
Borrowed the main idea from SoGuessWhat then added my own accent nail to spice it up.

The final result:

This is the second manicure where my white kept picking up red tint from the base color. This happens even after I use a top coat! UG! But the red sure looks awesome with the matte yea?

  3. These are so great I love them! I always do a top on my base color before I start paint with polish or acrylics. It's more work and time but it helps.

  4. Thanks everyone. Yea, even though I did a top coat over the red base, it STILL bled. I only have this problem with red. The blue, I did the acrylic right over the blue and it did just fine. How weird!

  7. This is uber gorgeous! Wow.. Those snow heads. I'm telling you, your art work is beyond me. Acrylic paint is what you use? Do you think those are better for freehanding?

Please reply as I'm subscribing so I'll be aware of your response. :-)

  8. I find that it applies better so I dont have to do layer after layer. That's my biggest thing. So like my white snowman would have been a pain having to do 2 or 3 coats of a white polish. Instead, use white acrylic and it usually applies nice in one coat. And when it builds on itself, it gets thicker which I like for snow...gives it a kinda 3d illusion. I just got the small tubes for now to try. Working good so far :-)

  11. This is the kit I got. I think it was only about $15 and from the rate Im going with it, it should last a long time. Ive also seen the bottle of it for sale at Michaels for only $0.78! But then you'd have to pick colors. Im better having them picked for me lol.

@wigwam, thank you! You can save the info on your blog. I added a page link with the awards Ive been given. You're suuposed to tag others and fill out info about yourself but I just don't have the time for that sadly.
