Happy New Year!

Happy New year everyone!
I did this manicure last night but was so tired, I skipped blogging it until today.
I also strayed from my week of animals so I could be festive for tonight but don't worry, I still have 2 more days of animals to come!

Today's manicure is especially for New Years. The dropping ball and fireworks!

I skipped adding all the polished I used because there were a lot. Phew!
Happy New year everyone and stay safe!

Animals - Panda Bears

With some more inspiration from Simply Rins, I decided on Panda Bears.
I added a colored background as well as mouths on them. No where near perfect like hers but still cute :-)
I also added a Bamboo accent nail because no Panda is complete without food!

Day 22 - Inspired By A Song

I'm probably way late in discovering this group but I have fallen in love with the song
I Waited For You by Valora (video at the end of this post).
So here is my Inspired By A Song nails.

The final result:

The products I used:
*2 coats Sally Hansen Complete Midnight in NY
*Accent nail and polka dots - 2 coats French Tip Dip Bright White
*Hard Candies Matte-ly In Love top coat (before art was added)
* Hearts - Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar
*Key and chains - China Glaze Awaken + Sinful Colors All About You
*Heart break - Kiss Nail Art Paint in black

--I didnt use a top coat after Matte-ly because I enjoy the matte/shine combo--

Base colors before art:

Hearts and chains added:

Polka dots and heart breaks and keys:

(yup, another goofy phone picture flip)

The song that inspired me :-)

Miche Dots

My Miche purse shell has motivated me!
It took me about an hour ad a half to dot each dot but I got it done!

*2 coats French Tip Dip bright white for base
* dots are Wet N' Wild black, Sally Hansen Xtreme wear deep purple, China Glaze caribbean blue and Nubar reclaim

I used my dotting tool and a paint tray with drips of paint and did each row individually. A few minor blotches and my black kept drying on the tray but its still cute!

Don't know what a Miche bag is? You're missing out!
These are only the most amazing purses out there! Multiple sizes and tons of shells
that you can interchange! Change your purse shell as much as you change your nail color!
Check them out here!

Angry Birds!

Was feeling a little angry hehehe.
Another 2 hour polish job that isn't too bad for me being awful at art :-)
I had bought a nail art brush set including a dotting tool last night so I had fun testing them all out.
Not too shabby for being freehand, I must say.

*CG breakin' for all beaks
*French Tip Dip bright white for all eyes
*Wet N' Wild black for brows and stripes

From pinky to thumb:
*CG carribean blue base
*FTD bright white under NYC taxi yellow for base
*Sinful Colors black on black base
*Avon grey cement matte for belly and eye base
*CG breaking and Sally X grey area mixed for brows
*Petites rockin red for base
*Pure Ice free spirit for base
*Sally Hansen green with envy for nose

Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend

So I came across a gorgeous layering here. I have yet to find Sally's Navy Venom so I settled for Sally's Blazing Blue as the base coat. But I do have OPI DS Diamonds so here was my version.
And i will add that Sally's Insta-Dry is pretty amazing. I haven't gotten used to the wide brush but one coat and this polish covers your nail!
The Blazing Blue has the very slightest shimmer and DS Diamonds is a holographic.
Jess knows Im soooo into holos right now so I was excited to finally find this polish.
This mani is 2 coats of SH ID Blazing Blue, 1 coat OPI DS Diamonds

My funky bathroom "natural" light, no flash

Same as above, just more clear :-p

All in all I give this mani only a 3. My fast dry top coat smeared the DS Diamonds slightly, which irritated me. Im tempted to re-do it but thats a lot of work! So Ill just be irritated until my next mani :-p

I will try and add an outdoor pic to this. I think it will make a big difference.

Gussied for Scentsy

Yet again, my polish is geared toward 2 Scentsy events I have this weekend. Both are holiday Bazaars. Even though it's October and I really wanted to go for an orange and black, I strayed to a green. I tend to jazz up my polish so here is another bi-polar polish for you!

This is China Glaze Gussied Up Green x2 coats. Then Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamonds then a top coat. The CG applied great with just one coat but I always prefer 2 to be safe. The SH added just a bit more shimmer that the green didnt supply for my mood tonight. It really is gorgeous on its own but I gotta jazz it up (and not Zanarans style!).

Playing with my Konads...

So here are some pictures of my latest attempts of playing with my Konads :-p

Sally Hansen Lazer x2 coats. China Glaze Millenium art tips.

China Glaze Millenium x2. I know you see a trend here, but its the perfect thickness for stamping. I have forgotten what purple I used for the stamping but this was my very first attempt at it.

Sinful Color's What's Your Name x2 coats. China Glaze Millenium art stamp.

Sally Hansen;s Extreme Wear Deep Purple x3 coats. Sinful Colors Innocent start art stamp. China Glaze Wireless Holographic Top Coat x1. (I did this theme for a Scentsy party!)

Rimmel Lava Red x2 coats. China Glaze art stamps.

Lazer - Tag!

In the tradition of my sweet friend Jess, I'll add my polish art too! I'm very new at this so bear with me!

I'm a huge fan of my Sally Hansen HD polish. I only have one, Lazer. that's what this would be ;-)
2 coats of Sinful Colors Black on Black with only 1 layer of Lazer. Take out the black polish and this becomes a much brighter blue/purple. The camera isn't even showing the purple hues of this polish. Its just goregous! And of course, I have CG Millenium art tips.

Outside, cloudy. Sun would make it look so much better but in WA that bright light in the sky is few and far between!

All in all I give it a 4 out of 5 rating because the first layer goes on uneven. The second coat of Lazer will even it out though.
