Day 27 - Inspired By Artwork

This turned out to be way harder than I thought. I also had issues on my right hand, using my left, so I changed that art a bit as you'll see. Used some of my favorite color combinations, I really like how it turned out!

The final result:

My art inspiration:

The products I used:
*2 coats Color Club Worth the Risque
*1 coat Wet N' Wild Black Cream

Man, if this isn't like the most awesome thing for me than I don't know what is!
Nail Reflections was so kind as to pass the Nail Art Friendly badge onto me for my blog.
Now, I know I don't have the artistic skill as many do, but I sure do have fun with it and will continue to do so.
Thank you Nail Reflections!

Day 26 - Inspired By A Pattern

Not sure where I got this idea but after hunting the whole net for helpful ideas with it, I couldn't find a single photo. So I do believe I'd be one of the rare people to do this pattern - Diamond Plate.
Came out pretty darn awesome, I think!

Day 25 - Inspired By Fashion

Once again, I changed my mind on design at the last minute. It looks a tad funny with square nails but I refuse to round them out just for one manicure (sorry, I prefer square).
Add a shaky hand and this mani is no where near perfect but still totally cute because it involves the only type of fashion I'm really into...shoes! Not just any shoes like girly sandals or slip ons or flip flops.
I'm no girly girl. I like chunky guy shoes. You won't find any high heels in my closet :-)

My final result:

The products I used:
*2 coats French Tip Dip Bright White for thumb
*1 coat China Glaze Midnight Mission for artwork on thumb
*1 coat Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love top coat over blue artwork

*2 coats Wet N' Wild Black Creme
*2 coats FTD Bright White for tips
*OPI Dazzle for gromets
*Kiss nail art paint in black for tip stripe and white for laces

I LOVE my Converse shoes and am so ready to add more to the mix :-)

Make Your Own Magnetic Polish!!!

Now, I have to admit how envious I have been of all these bloggers with these super cute magnetic polishes.
Well I just came across this! How darn tootin' awesome! (yea, I said tootin')

and tell her Wickless & Polished sent you!

Day 24 - Inspired By A Book

It's been years since I've read this book but when I saw this challenge, I knew this was the book I wanted (out of the dozens I've read within the past year even!).
My book is Intensity by Dean Koontz.
Awesome thriller book. I tried to replicate the cover art as best as I could.
The spider and web are pertinent to the book because there is a scene where the killer eats a spider which helps him understand how the spider feels etc etc. Again, been a long time since I've read it. Guess I'll have to jump back in it!

The final result:

The products I used:
*2 coats French Tip Dip Bright White for bright base
*2 coats Sinful Colors Dumpling (I cringe whenever I read this name)
*2 coats China Glaze Breakin' for accent nail and stripe stamps
*Wet N' Wild Black Cream for spider and web stamps
*Bundle Monster stamps BM 13 & 20

Before the art:

After the art:

My copy of the book's orange is actually a bright neon orange but many copies I've seen are the darker orange like on my accent nail. My neon orange didn't look good so I went with the darker...

Day 23 - Inspired By A Movie

I've had this manicure planned from the get go.
Then it changed come time for the mani (like most of my ideas).
I have to admit how much I really dislike stamping.
Maybe I need to invest in GOOD stamping polish but my prints never come out fully intact!
Either way, the mani was fun to do and that's what whole point!

My movie inspiration:

The products I used:
*Right hand - China Glaze Admire base + Something Sweet stamp,
China Glaze Blue Island Ice tea base + Millennium tips,
French Tip Dip Bright White base, Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar stamp
*Left hand - FTD Bright White base + Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar art and stamp,
Wet N' Wild Black Cream base + FTD Bright White dots

Base colors before the art:

Left hand inspiration:
Romy's outfit :-)

Right hand-

(Oh yay. here go the sideways pics again! It's becoming a tradition, I guess!)

My inspiration:
The dresses!
My thumb has cherries for an early scene where Michele wears cherry earrings.

So even though my stamping came out sloppy it was still a fun manicure to play with.
And if you haven't seen Romy & Michele's High School Reunion yet, you MUST!
